Friday is done.

We made the right decision to leave today. The weather could not have been better the whole way.

We left about 9:30 and had a surprising number of folks show up for our departure. Here are a few photos.

even horses got into the act
L-R Frank, Jerry, George, Darrell, Bob (in the plane already), Mike F, Jim, Mike S. and Harry
Frank and Jerry were there to see us off and the final count making the trip was 7... or was it?

We flew about 1.5 hours to Lewisville NC for a great BBQ lunch.

Planes on the line in Lexington

Crew... wait, who is that on the back row in the center? Is that Frank?
It IS! I thought we left him in Georgia.

Then on to Kitty Hawk which was about another 1.5 hours. We landed at First Flight Airport and took in the museum and park. I think 5 airplanes landing at once woke up the locals.

Sky dog at rest

On to Warrenton, Virginia (1.5 hours). Warrenton is about 30 miles south of DC and is just outside the NO FLY ZONE. We will have pictures of the arrival and time in DC. 4.5 hours of flying for a bunch of old guys is a lot but we made it. Nice airport. Nice car rental, Nice hotel, Nice dinner.

More tomorrow.
